The word “Pame” in Greek means “let’s go”… So let’s go to have a Tsipouro, a traditional Greek alcohol or let’s go to Kafeneio, the place where attract young people to have their coffee or their dessert as a “gliko tou koutaliou” which is also a traditional homemade Greek dessert made by comfit fruits.

Pame Tsipouro – Pame Kafeneio is an authentic Greek restaurant for authentic local people and for foreigners that they want to be considered as locals too and to discover one of the most important senses; the taste.

The restaurant is located in the famous area of Kypseli called Fokionos Negri, where there was and remain one of the most popular and well known area of Athens. Decorated authentically with Greek old and new items, such as bottles, colorful tins, beautiful black and white frames, old tiles that remind Greek ancient times…

Locals go there to have their lunch or their coffee break as everyone became friend with the other… it is a very friendly and cozy restaurant where the food is on a top level, as the one in Athens center…

Pame Tsipouro – Pame Kafeneio is a family legacy, from grandfather to father and from father to son… a lot of relatives also are busy there and they, all together, offer a worthy result because they love their job and they considered it a tradition… as Greeks say “phyloxenia” which means hospitality…

All products are fresh and cooked on every day basis, there is a big range of menus, basically Greek ones and all are delicious… well cooked with love! More pluses: fresh herbs like oregano and thimari, tasty sauces with fresh tomatoes and spices, Greek virgin olive oil and olives, Greek salads with feta or manouri, homemade and tasty fried potatoes and others…

Apart the menus, you can ask for a “Mezze”, mezze in Greek means tapas… several platters with different kind of small bites… pies made of cheese, spinach and sausages, delicious meatballs, saganaki cheese with honey and sesame, stuffed homemade wine leaves and more… but do not forget to taste the Tsipouro, too.

These platters also could be served with a glass of ouzo, also a famous but traditional Greek alcohol, a bottle of cold beer is a clever option too… it sounds simple but trust us, it is an awesome combination of flavors…

Desserts also are an homemade issue… you will find there baklava or kataifi, traditional walnuts pie with syrup and ice cream, kormos, a chocolate sausage stuffed with biscuits and walnuts, Greek fresh thick and creamy yogurt with honey and nuts… but most important is the fluent service of the stuff and their smile to make your stay more enjoyable and feel like home.

Tasting local food in Pame Tsipouro… will remain forever a great experience …
